Menguak Kisah Runtuhnya Tembok Yerikho dalam Bingkai Pemaknaan Kaum Pentakostal
Abstract
Invasi yang dilakukan oleh bangsa Israel melalui kepemimpinan Yosua untuk merebut tanah Kanaan merupakan bagian dari penggenapan janji Allah terhadap Abraham, di mana Allah telah berjanji memberikan tanah ini kepada keturunannya. Sejatinya jika menilik letak geografis dari tanah Kanaan dalam konteks strategi perang, maka penaklukan kota Yerikho selain memberikan dampak maksimal mempermudah menguasai wilayah lainnya, juga memberikan sebuah peringatan keras terhadap semua lawan bangsa Israel waktu itu. Pemilihan metode kualitatif naratif serta dukungan dari kajian literatur diupayakan sanggup memberikan gambaran yang kuat dan terstruktur terkait rekonstruksi berbagai peristiwa yang mendahului runtuhnya tembok Yerikho, kisah runtuhnya tembok Yerikho dalam Yosua 6, dan pemaknaan kaum Pentakostal dari kisah ini. Disimpulkan, bagi kaum Pentakostal kisah runtuhnya tembok Yerikho dimaknai sebagai pentingnya memahami strategi ilahi, kuasa pujian, hidup dalam ketaatan pada Allah, serta bertindak.
